Weybridge Tennis is the home of Dante Academy with Justin Sherring. Justin has been operating the academy at St Georges College, Weybridge since 2005 and has joined Dante to create programmes to develop and inspire future generations of players and coaches. A cornerstone of the juniors tennis community, the academy has produced some of the best players to emerge from the UK and offers arguably the most successful part-time programme in Great Britain. The academy operates according to the highest standards with offerings spanning from competitive training and match play practice for juniors to world-class coaching for Grand Slam Champions.

With four indoor courts, three floodlit artificial clay courts and use of 20 further hard, artificial grass and real grass courts, the facilities cater to players across all surfaces.

ABOUT JUSTIN

Justin Sherring is a vastly experienced tennis coach and programme manager who specialises in the development of players from juniors through to the professional tour level.

He has served as the individual coach for several highly regarded international professional players currently on the tour, including:

  • 10 years with Jack Draper (ATP high #4)
  • 13 years with Joe Salisbury (ATP high #1)
  • Former coach to GB #1 Johanna Konta (WTA high #1)
  • Coach to Mark Ceban winning Tarbes and Orange Bowl

He is the head of Dante Academy with Justin Sherring at Weybridge Tennis and currently serves as the Surrey Tennis County Performance Programme Manager.

The combination of his intelligent and amiable approach to coaching with his expertise and drive to help athletes reach their full potential has enabled Justin’s players to climb the rankings and become established international tennis stars.

The Dante team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that has been honed at some of the UK’s most prestigious independent schools, US Colleges and at the highest levels of international tennis. Our coaches have successfully developed performance, development and grassroot pathways that have produced players who’ve competed at Wimbledon and earned scholarships to top universities worldwide. We are committed to bringing out the best in each player and to helping them achieve their highest potential both on and off the court.

THE TEAM

Phil Parkin is a Level 4 LTA Accredited Coach with over 15 years’ experience as an Assistant at WTA. He has coached numerous County, Regional and National players, and currently serves as a Surrey Tennis County Coach. Phil has led the U10 WTA Programme for more than a decade and is also the Lead Coach for the St George’s College Disability Tennis Programme.
